April 16, 2010 - Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, today released a Code of Conduct for the Credit and Debit Card Industry in Canada to promote fair business practices and cost transparencies for accepting credit cards. This will give merchants the freedom to choose which processing network they use, help them control their costs and allow them to pass on savings to their customers.
